LEE PIANO STUDIO

Dedicated, Professional Piano Instruction

Roxane Lee, M. S.,  Nationally Certified Teacher of Music

anne Liva scholarship

This scholarship fund was established in memory of Anne Vanko Liva, whom I had the privilege of studying with for over 10 years.  Almost everything that I am as a teacher, I owe to her.  As her student, she taught me much more than how to make beautiful music, she gave me the gift of her love.  She is one of the kindest, and most dedicated people I have met.  Her kindness was matched only by her modesty.  It was not until I was an adult that I learned about all of her accomplishments.  She was a nationally known teacher, who co-founded the European Piano Teachers’ Association and Young Musicians’ Society and served as the first President of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers’ Association.  Mrs. Liva was awarded the Outstanding Teacher and Distinguished Service Award by the Pennsylvania Music Teacher’s Association and was honored for 50 years of service by the National Guild of Piano Teachers’ Association.

I can never repay Mrs. Liva for the priceless gift that she gave me, but through teaching my students and offering this scholarship, I hope that in a small way I am paying it forward.

Donations can be made by cash or check to the Anne Liva Scholarship Fund and mailed to Lee Piano Studio, P.O. Box 2063,  New Milford, CT 06776
